An unmissable stop on many of my İzmir trips for years now, Yasa serves what is for me nostalgia in the fullest sense of the word. The menu has grown considerably over the years, but I still cannot give up its classics. The tost, crisp outside with its double kaşar stretching within, and the çi börek, crisp with its wafer-thin pastry, are the pair I order without fail on every visit. Add a well-frothed ayran alongside and my unchanging travel classic is complete.
