Boza, made by fermenting grains such as bulgur and rice with sugar and yeast, is one of the indispensable drinks of the winter months. Vefa Bozacısı, for its part, has been serving the city's best boza since 1876. Their products are sold in plenty of supermarkets, but tasting it on the spot is something else entirely. The Atatürk corner inside is another of the things that makes the visit worthwhile. To my mind boza gets even better once you add cinnamon. You can round the experience off at its peak by buying roasted leblebi from the shop right opposite.
