After Meatballs for the People in Sweden, The Carnivore Restaurant is the second address where I have seen this much variety of meat in one place. The pea soup served to open the meal was delicious. The way the main courses arrive, though, was genuinely out of the ordinary. I had the chance to try the meat of seven different animals here, and my favourite by some distance was the ostrich meatballs. With each serving of meat they suggest a sauce made for that particular meat, a detail that enriches the experience further. The service keeps coming for as long as you leave the little flag on your table standing. They have built a system that turns eating meat into a ceremony. The quality of the meat on some of the plates falls behind others I have tried before, but this is still a memorable stop for its atmosphere and its presentation. I would recommend it to anyone after a different sort of gastronomic adventure in Nairobi.
