Tepsi Et
Rehberin Notları
One of the places that represents the cooking of Kahramanmaraş most successfully in İstanbul, Tepsi Et has made a name for itself on both sides of the city. The Caddebostan branch in particular gave me an experience well above my expectations. Every plate here speaks first to the eye and then to the palate. Whoever had the idea of bringing walnuts together with honey in the gavurdağı salad really does deserve congratulating. The honeyed roasted walnuts carry the salad up several levels, and at the same time soften the sharpness of the onion. Siron, made with bone marrow broth, shredded meat and baklava pastry, is one of the most original hot starters on the menu. For a main course I recommend the Eli Böğründe with my eyes closed; in both taste and presentation it is one of the sharing plates that best reflects their craft.
