Tarihi Safranbolu Fırını is one of those places where you feel good the moment you walk in. The whole team takes great care to give the best service at any hour of the day. What you find here is not only Turkish, but sweet and savoury things from different parts of the world as well. My favourite for years has been the poğaça with spinach and labneh, and if it has just come out of the oven I have been known to eat several before I get home... There are both meat and olive oil versions of the sarma, but my own preference is the tangy, spiced olive oil yaprak sarma.
