Taberna dos Mercadores seats only sixteen people at a time, and reservations fill up in the blink of an eye. We waited more than half an hour, but I can tell you it was absolutely worth it. The flaming prawns come with a presentation you will not find everywhere, and even once the flame has died down you sit there waiting to dip your bread in. The octopus rice, meanwhile, is one of the best seafood plates I have eaten. The octopus is sliced against the direction we are used to, and the onion rice is cooked in the seafood stock. The portions are very large indeed.
