Sorvetta

Sorvetta is a place that impressed me not only with its flavours but with its vision. It may be a small shop down a side street, but getting to know it, and being able to hear its goals first hand over a chat, made me especially happy. Production is done on site as well. They make all their products with the best possible ingredients, and that absolutely shows in the taste. The vanilla in particular comes at you in waves. There is an option here for every palate. If you like eating salty and sweet flavours together, the Caramel Milk Chocolate Pretzel is exactly your thing. The Coconut Rice Pudding, with its deep coconut aroma and arborio rice, is one of the surprises. What my favourites have in common is that all three are made with Jersey milk. There are alternatives made with buffalo milk on the menu too, as well as sorbets made without any milk at all. Sorvetta's goal is very clear: to get into the Michelin Guide. I hope they go beyond even their goals, and that one day I come here to try their ice cream tasting menu.
