Panzerotti Luini
Rehberin Notları
When Italian street food comes up, panzerotti is one of the first things that comes to my mind. It may look like the pişi or the çiğ börek of our own kitchen, but its filling and its texture make for a completely different experience. There are countless places to eat around the Duomo, but to taste one of the best examples of panzerotti you should definitely point yourself towards Luini. Even though it sits on a side street, you will see a queue stretching out in front of it at any hour of the day. Happily, it moves quite quickly. There are more than fifteen kinds of panzerotti inside, but every single time I find myself unable to give up the classic tomato & mozzarella pairing. Sometimes the most traditional recipe explains in a single bite why it has been loved for so many years. My thanks to my mother Yeliz Özkarakaşlı for this lovely recommendation.
