Nairobi National Park

Rehberin Notları

Only 20 minutes from the city, a real African safari!

Nairobi National Park is a singular meeting point between the city skyline and the wild. On our safari route, which began at 06.00 in the morning, it was possible to watch lions, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, African buffalo and water birds in their natural habitat. After the safari you can stop by the Girrafe Centre, the giraffe conservation centre inside the boundaries of the national park, learn about giraffes and feed them. The fact that surprised me most was that a newborn giraffe can run as fast as its mother 45 minutes after birth. And while you are in Kenya, do not head home without tasting the aromatic Kenyan tea brewed with milk. A hot cup drunk in the cool of the morning is something else entirely.

Safari Tips

  • The guide's knowledge changes the experience completely. We went with a company called Joeli Car Hire and were very happy with them.
  • The air is cool in the early morning, so do take a light cardigan or jacket with you.
  • Since you will be spending a few hours outdoors, using an insect repellent spray matters
  • Getting out of the vehicle is forbidden other than at the designated toilet stops. So plenty of water, a flask of something to drink and snacks are essential.
  • Make sure you have plenty of space on your phone for photos and videos :)
