Mürver

Rehberin Notları

Mürver is one of those rare restaurants that has managed to hold on to its quality as the years pass. Across two visits a year and a half apart, the only thing that had changed was that the service had become even better. The place has a menu all of its own, and the corn pide is one of the finest examples of it. Everything cooked over the open fire leaves aromas that stay with you for a long time. They are genuinely expert at cooking both seafood and red meat. The grilled octopus with pomegranate molasses is one of those hot starters that has to be tried. For a main course I would recommend the Thracian kıvırcık lamb with my eyes closed. With the spiced compote, freekeh and salted yoghurt that come alongside it, every forkful is completely different from the last and offers something wonderfully layered.
