Maré Cheia

Maré Cheia sits in my top ten of flavours worth making a journey for, and it joined my favourites on a single visit. Being right on the Atlantic coast means you can find seafood of the highest quality here. When it comes to turbot in particular, this is one of a very few places in the world. It may not have the knobbly build of a Black Sea turbot, but grilled it is something you cannot get enough of. Açorda, a traditional vegetable dish, goes very well alongside it. The seafood rice is another thing not to be missed.
