Mandabatmaz, İstiklal's historic coffee house, has carried on from the same side street for years without letting its quality slip. The foam on the coffee is so thick that they used to say not even a water buffalo would sink into it, and that is where the name comes from. Every time I am in the area I stop by for a coffee taken at leisure, and I pick up a packet for home as well.
