Say Gemlik and one of the first things that comes to mind is olives. And since 1964 Kavlak has been one of the finest representatives of that olive. Their branch at the Oksijen services on the motorway offers the comfort of shopping without going out of your way. It is not only olives of every kind here; there are cheeses and jams too. Better still, the best part is being able to taste everything before you buy it, so there are no surprises when you get home. The olives you choose are packed with a little corn oil added, a method that improves both the flavour and how long they keep. As someone who likes a salty olive with plenty of flesh on it, my choice is the "Special" black olives.
