Joe's Pizza is one of my favourite stops in New York and I never fail to call in on a visit. The pizza I eat here comfortably makes my top three. There are a few branches around the city and you will meet a queue at every one of them, but I am sure you will find it worth the wait. I know I queued for half an hour at minus eleven degrees. Now, to the pizza :) The base is crisp and softens as you work your way up. The tomato sauce is both sweet and sharp, and its ratio to the cheese is faultless. In a single bite you get the sauce, the cheese and the dough all at once, at their very best. My wife, who does not eat cheese, eats a "cheese slice" here — that should tell you something...
