Güvenç Konyalı is among the first places to go in İstanbul if you want to try the food of Konya. Konya fırın kebabı is one of those dishes that draws maximum flavour out of minimum ingredients. If you like eating savoury and sweet together, you must try the mevlevi pilavı alongside it. I heard about this place from Nilay Örnek and Sinan Hamamsarılar's podcast Yemekte Bile Yemek Konuşuyoruz in the "Tarihi Yarımada'nın Paha Biçilemez Lezzet Durakları" episode, and went to see it for myself. Thanks to them both for the recommendations.
