One of the landmarks of the Cannes seafront, Carlton reopened its doors in 2023 after a long renovation. As one of the best stays I had in 2024, it more than deserves its place in this guide. Its large, comfortable rooms, combined with that spellbinding view out over the Mediterranean, add up to a faultless experience. The buffet breakfast, laid out fresh every morning, is worth calling in for even if you are not staying at the hotel. The maple syrup bacon, the eggs whipped with milk and the breads made from croissant dough are among the things I will not forget.
