Bottarga

Bottarga, one of the city's most special Greek restaurants, has an atmosphere all of its own on top of its original menu. Sitting at the bar would not normally be my first choice, but my experience here made me more than happy. Directly opposite the bar, which has a smart and generous seating area, there is a tiered grill and the station where the hot plates are put together. Watching how carefully every plate that leaves the kitchen is prepared is a pleasure in itself. You can find an original touch in every plate served here, even in the spiced pita bread… My favourite was the grilled artichoke. The truffle and the xinotiri (a Greek cheese) suit the plate incredibly well. There was no room left for dessert this time, but the chocolate cheesecake stayed on my mind.
