For me the finest lokanta in İzmir, Balmumu Dükkan is a lunch stop that has become a legend on the strength of one delicious dish after another. Everything I have eaten here, from the zeytinyağlı dishes to the hot ones, has stayed with me. The kid goat served with keşkek in particular was one of the best things I have ever eaten in a lokanta. This was also where I first got to try Alaşehir kapaması, a dish rather like mantı.
