Avliya Boşnak Mutfağı

Rehberin Notları

One of the more accomplished representatives of Bosnian cooking in İstanbul, Avliya has something to suit any hour of the day. If you go in the morning you can try the böreks, and at midday or in the evening the grills. I am especially fond of their Boşnak mantısı, cooked over a charcoal fire. Tea goes well with the börek, but before that I would suggest a blueberry juice (borovnica). They also do the traditional ayvar and soka (a mixture of peppers, kaymak, cheese and milk) very well. They were on the same level as the ones I ate in Bosnia. I liked the faint touch of mustard in the ayvar. That many of the products are sold over the counter is another nice detail; the Avliya pleasure carries on at home.
